What the fuck...my new iPod Nano is broken!
« on: September 26, 2007, 06:34:30 PM »
I plug in the USB cable to connect it to my laptop and the laptop doesn't read it at all.  I've connected other shit via that USB port that works just fine, so I know it's not that.  And I've also connected the iPod to a charger, and it's charged its battery that way...the laptop just refuses to read the iPod (refuses to even acknowledge something's been connected to the USB port, even something it can't identify).

What the fuck!? :(

If only it did something obvious to let you know something was wrong, like maybe display a red ring on the display.

lol, yes....this is very weird, because it worked fine the first time.  Usually when something isn't working, my computer lets me know by telling me "blah blah blah USB device detected...blah blah blah."  But it's not even reading that I connected the iPod to the computer.  I dunno what's up. ???

Yeah, I'm doing that this weekend.  Weirdly enough, the charger works, so I was able to charge it and use it...

You would think that if there were some problem, it would give you some kind of error message instead of just not acknowledging that there's an iPod connected to your computer.  Weird.
