I told myself I wouldn't trouble myself with GAF anymore but I'm nevertheless slipping into a miserable life spent shadowing it John Hinckley-style. =( it's just so incredibly frustrating when there's some really basic bit of info I could inject into a Square thread to clear things up but I can't! urrrrgggh!
like, "The 3rd Birthday" on cell phones isn't really a Parasite Eve game. It stars Aya but there's no continuity with PE series (she has a different backstory etc. here, sort of like how Cloud and Squall etc. appeared in Kingdom Hearts but the FF7/8 worlds were not actually in KH continuity, they were from Hollow Bastion etc.) and is said to be a pretty different kind of game. The original concept was Nomura's and the scenario is by Motomu Toriyama (FFX-2, FFXII Revenant Wings, FFX, FFXIII etc.) and a veteran screenwriter for Japanese animation and Tv whose name I've forgotten.
and, the teams for the PS1 and PS2 Musashi games were the same for the most part. though the scenario writer/lead planner for Brave Fencer stayed busy working on FFXI (he was the director for the last two expansions) so didn't work on Samurai Legend, so I guess you can blame the disparity on his absence if you like. but the rest of the team including the director is mostly the same.
and the scenario writer for KH PSP is Daisuke Watanabe (Chain of Memories, Thread of Fate, FF12). Nomura says the story for KH PSP will be very complex and serious as that's Watanabe's specialty.
