I've been hospitalised for those a couple of times, days at a time, put on morphine and all sorts. Once I had to be driven four hours to a hospital over a mountain pass, the pressure definitely didn't help and I threw up from the pain at the peak.

Hope they don't fuck with you as badly as they fuck with me and if they do, you're less than four hours and a mountain pass from a hospital. Hit those painkillers and antibiotics hard.
