Still waiting for our friend to show up with the U-Haul to pick up her chairs and table we've been storing in the basement, so I've got time to offer up more thoughts.
Zombie Tapioca Lovefest 4000 was brilliant. This guy, who's fucked everything imaginable, decides to buy himself a zombie prostitute. He fills up a bathtub full of tapioca to warm her up, and then fucks every which way. Then, he decides to cut out a rib and fuck that, too. Very very very messed up, but very very very funny.
Queer Safari was a riot. A send up of Steve Irwin and the MILF Hunter/Bangbus shit, we've got our Aussie nature host wandering the grounds of Woodland Park in search of rare breeds of homos (ball cap wearing variety, twinks, bears, and even some cigarillo hags), only for it to all go wrong, ala Blair Witch Project. Hilarious.
The Room. What happens when you leave your apartment, do you ask? Your furniture gets it on, hardcore. I'll never listen to Spoon the same way ever again.
There really wasn't a lot of hardcore stuff, and if there was any, it was mainly gay fare. Broken, which was a gay spoof on Memento and Austin Powers, was my favorite hardcore film of the night, even if I am one of those weird old straight breeder types.
My least favorite of the night would have to be the brutal Lauren Likes Candy. Overly aggressive and violent lesbian S&M. The room got silent and a lot of people couldn't look at the screen...
Also, as I was walking into the theater, Dan Savage pulled me aside and told me that I needed to make a film for next year's competition... so awesome!!
