Best excuse for missing a test
« on: October 06, 2007, 06:59:08 PM »
Yea, so I just realized I missed a test yesterday because I'm an idiot. I don't need other people telling me I'm an idiot. This was already common knowledge. It's time to look to the future and how I'm going to lie. I need some reasons why I would've missed this test. And why I wouldn't have contacted the professor by now.

Daylight savings. It got me twice this time around, once for school, once for work.

Your dad had a heart attack and you had to go to the hospital in an emergency. Of course you were so concerned and focused on this family emergency you forgot to notify the professor until now.

Your dad will be alright.

I was thinking along those lines. If the professor knew my family's medical history, it'd be even better!

I'm still hoping for some ridiculous "has to be true" stories from TVC or Drinky. :lol

Nasty diarrhea - you were sitting on the toilet all morning so you couldn't take the test.

once i made this criminal law test, i think, and when i went to the bathroom, i had my phone with me. that's not allowed. i wasn't even going to use it, but the lady saw it in my pocket and i got a letter telling me not to have my phone on me during tests 2 weeks later.

i don't know why this is relevant, but this thread reminded me of it.

You're fucked unless you go to some crazy school. You have to contact the professor before missing the test, and it has to be for a good reason. If you're grandma died, you have to prove it.

I did the "my uncle had a heart attack" trick and actually got to make up a test, but that teacher was a total pushover.

That sorta doesn't work unless it's, you know, right after daylight savings time. ;)  But that's a good twice-a-year excuse if you happen to have exams around that time.

CajoleJuice owned.
:-\ my poor hairy-butted persian...

I'm talking about polari, cajolejuice lives in new york.  I went to check daylight savings time since I was curious when it was (knew it was supposed to be a weekend in october) and they had a map that showed which countries used it.

I was able to miss a test and make up for it last semester. I had to go down to my friend in Ohio and I just asked to retake it and I could. :bow

It all depends on who your teacher is.

I never broke it out to you guys, but the form of autism that I have is not on the poster.
So the "may not want cuddling" does not apply to you in any shape or form?
