Is it worth $12?  I've never bought a game for the VC but S&C's hype was almost mythical.

Hell yeah, it's definitely worth the 12. Best game on the VC now. I love love love love this game. I use control type A, myself... move with the D-pad, use right analog stick to aim. Kinda wish I could switch the L and R around, so I could jump with L and fire with R (used to holding down R to fire after playing a lotta H3). I'd imagine it would suck on Wavebird, especially considering the gimped dpad... definitely go for CC for this one.

Yea, it seems kind of awkward but I'm getting by well enough. I'm sticking to easy until I figure out the controls.

It definitely seems like a good game, worth the $12. Though I had a freebie $20 card to spend on it.

Did you like Panzer Dragoon?  It's an on-rails move-cursor-to-shoot game in a similar vein, although there's more you can do and more creative level and boss design.  It was pretty cool on the N64, but I'm sure it looks absolutely hideous now.

This was one of Treasure's better post-Genesis/Saturn games.

$12? I thought all N64 games were $10?

Nintendo is very good at milking its fans for a little extra when they have the chance.

I loved PR:Orta.  I remember being a little bit disappointed back then because they didn't bring this game to the US.  I don't really want to pay $12 now for an assy looking game.

IT'S NOT BETTER THAN ORTA.
