So what's the best way to rent games nowadays?
« on: October 08, 2007, 03:36:49 AM »
I haven't walked into my local Blockbuster for a while, and I haven't looked at the game selection in years. Last time I checked, it wasn't too good. Maybe it will be decent for 360. But even if it is, I know there are online sites out there that are cheaper and definitely have more of a selection. Is GameFly still the best one?

I've got a "Gamer Pass" through Blockbuster and get unlimited game rentals for around $25 a month.  Their 360 and PS2 selection is actually really good and they always seem to have all the new releases...though I'm sometimes miffed with their stocking.  They'll have two copies of Eternal Sonata but have 10 Ratatouilles.  Eh.

If the Blockbuster store wasn't as close as it is to my house (less than a block away), then I'd probably pony up for the Gamefly deal.

I used GamezNFlix before they went to shit, now I just use the store down the road. Since I'm just so extremely rich I can just buy what I want.

I may go down the Gamefly road. There are 0 rental stores within biking distance here and I'm shy about putting out 60$ for anything nowadays. Even Orange Box.

I also recommend Gamefly.  I've been using it for about a month now and quite like it.
