Classic story, Halo fegs are pissed. NBA All star Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas cheats at Halo 3. I think the funniest thing is that he could be doing anything in the world with his money and fame, and he's cheating to inflate his rank in Halo 3. I don't understand the terminology so much but here's the story as I understand it. He has a buddy and they both have dummy accounts, so they start up a 2 on 2 game. They kill off the dummies and then fight among themselves to inflate their ranking. This was all spotted by a random guy who got an invite to their private games and glanced at their stats. The story was sent to the Washington Post, and one of their reporters asked Arenas if it was true, and he admitted it was :kerry
Gilbert followed this admission up with a comment about being a legitimate Halo player, so his rank cheating shouldn't matter. He claims to be a "LEGIT 47." When I told my Halo friend this, he responded that if Arenas was a legit 47, I could play in the NBA. I can't play in the NBA :'(
The other way he inflates his rating is by sponsoring the best Halo 2 team in the country. The people he plays with are the best Halo players in the world, and he always finishes last in those games (obviously.) But apparently just playing in those types of games really boosts your rating.
Anyway, I thought it was a funny story, Anyone here take this shit seriously? Anyone offended?
