The level of teamwork required to win now is just so awesome. Plus the humor in the game is great. I loved seeing one of my medics come running out of our own base on fire screaming MEDIC!

Or the awesome moments like three heavy's coming around the corner and unleashing hot lead on the stupid jumping soldiers. STUPID JUMPING SOLDIERS! STOP JUMPING!

I didn't notice the COD demo had MP too. What did you guys think of the SP so far? I'll try to get Orange Box this week but no gaming 'till next week. I've got to cram this weekend. I'll post my steam id next week and hopefully we can get a game together.

But the jumping helps angle the rockets for maximum splash damage.

I killed three people with one crit rocket, i made 2 people yell over their mic when that happened. Awesomeness.

I literally wouldn't play a game unless it is in 1400x900 (or 1200x800 when my laptop isn't hooked up to my computer). Even if I have to play with most of the features turned off, I'm just too impatient to wait for my computer to adapt to the right resolution when starting up and quitting a game.

Yeah, at a certain point, it becomes futile, especially when you can hook up the Xbox 360 to any 'ole CRT monitor and crank out 1280x1024 resolution in TF2/Portal/etc.

Heavys are so awesome, they are really funny, and powerful. But if you have no medic, you die fast because everyone and their mom guns for your right away. Also, you get the frustration of watching Scouts, Medics, and Pyros get on teleporters in front of you while you quickly memorize the letter/number combination to jeer.

A good heavy knows when to move up or back, a medic isnt optional, but not required every moment of my time on the field.

In beta there was an exploit where heavys could run around at their normal speed while their barrels were constantly spinning, it was fucking TERRIBLE.

Are all sniper shots the same strength now or is there something with the scope? I thought I read that TF2 would still have the charged shot thing from TFC, but I haven't figured out how it works or if it's there. I do remember that you could gib people with a charged leg shot in TFC and I haven't seen anything that ridiculous yet.

Willco, how are you getting TF2 matches hooked up with your friends on XBL? There isn't an invite system and getting everyone together in the same room is a gigantic pain in the ass.

Am I spoiled by Halo 3 or is this the worst Live multiplayer implementation yet?

Snipers still have to charge, and they dont gib anyone. You can get lucky, and get a headshot with a low charge quickly and still kill most classes in one hit though. Crits are bad that way. They also have a little red dot that gives them away quickly, thank god. Since the final came out the public servers have been lousy with snipers. Thankfully they are easy spy fodder.

No sir, when you zoom in there is a little display that slowly charges. No charging while zoomed out, which is a good thing for the rest of us.
