The SURVIVAL RESEARCH LABS appreciation thread
« on: October 12, 2007, 06:57:41 AM »
I find that other EB users are interested in stuff I fancy about 7% of the time.

Having said that - here is the

SURVIVAL RESEARCH LABS APPRECIATION THREAD

http://srl.org/

I worked on a project with this one where we made a telephone XML interface for the airlaunchers native JAVA control panel. 1 week after the first sucessful test - 9/11 happened...and the project became very "unpopular" in concept to say the least....

I have seen their show live 3 times and each time the experience was 20x worth it.

Taking in an SRL or a Merzbow show are about the most viscarially hardcore things you can do in performance art.

They have many DVD's available if you cant make a show (they do international tours) and they are usually great as well. Generally the music is good - but I wouldnt invite just anyone to watch something like this with me. Some may think its a bit strong at times or too unnerving.

Anyone else rokk the SRL at EB?
