People keep wishin, but the duder has always been pretty adamant about not running for President. I don't know why people think this will change things. Not to sound pussyish, but Gore seems like a pretty well-grounded person, and the tumultuous 200 election clearly took a lot out of him, as evidenced from his lengthy sabbatical from public view. Since returning to the public eye, he's earned more respect than he did while VP for 8 years. I think dude is probably pretty happy with his station right now; for what it's worth, he's done more for his important causes than he could have as President. Presidents don't really have much sway over environmental issues--they have less interesting subjects that take precedence. In his current position, Gore can make his causes number 1. As President, they'd have to be at the bottom of a pretty long list.
