I quit after a half hour because I was starting to get woozy. I think earlier in the week, I may (or may not) have been a bit sick, and that may have aggravated the situation. I am on room 17 now.

valve should release this on XBLA so the people that didn't get the orange box (or have no clue what it is) can enjoy its greatness.

It really is amazing. Probably one of the most memorable games released in recent memory. The atmosphere, the charm, the dialogue, the level design, the end battle, the credits, the song, etc...

Just awesome.

Did anyone else kind of get a little creeped out by the dialogue? I mean there are definitely some funny parts to it but overall it was also a little...unsettling. The game played out like a cybernetic snuff facility. I don't know, maybe it was just me.

I'd really like to see Aperture Science (and Glados) play a bigger role in the HL2 story arc though. Seems like there's a lot of potential there.

Well yeah, of course, but every impression I've been reading so far has been about how funny it is (and it's definately that) but very little mention of how....evil(?)....it all seems. Again, I didn't know if it was just because I was a wierd mood when I went through it or what but I was more taken back by its eerieness rather than the humor.

The boss at the end was kind of a crappy fight, but other than that I had a really good time. I wanna play it again soon, which is more than I can say for Halo 3.

Maybe that's just because Halo 3 will be a long slog in Legendary, whereas I know I can finish Portal again in probably an hour.

Does this game fit into the Half-Life continuity at all?

Yeah, it does. Aperature Science gets a bit of a cameo in Half-Life: Episode Two, but it looks like Aperature will producing the deus ex machina of Episode Three.

The fans are already speculating if Gordon and Chell (the chick you play in Portal) meet each other in Episode Three.
