just grab a shitload of time extend power-ups when you have sixty seconds left to keep a nice buffer going. sometimes i'll do a cancel in in the middle of a big chain if i see time power-ups grouped together. also, keep a close watch on your shields so you can grab as many power-ups as possible. try to get the beat bonus as well, it really helps clear out a lot of the screen. i guess i did pretty well last night because i'm #10 on the leaderboards for rating.

it's pretty much a stamina game once you max out multipliers and quickens. i was playing unlimited mode last night up to 70 trillion but it was 12:30am and i needed to get some sleep. =\ sounds boring but i've yet to get sick of it.

Yea, I was gonna try to max out the score counter like I did in Tetris DS, but it's gonna take too long considering the multiplier maxes out at 100 and it goes past 999,999,999,999,999. I'll just stop at a quadrillion.

i don't know if you know this, but if you hit LT and RT during explosions, you can do remixes of the sounds. it kills some of the monotony.

I only got like 4 hours of sleep last night. Also, I did pause my 360 overnight and while I went to class. It's been on for 13 straight hours or so. These new models are really good!

Well, I reached 1 quadrillion. I don't actually want to stop, but there's really no use at this point and I need my 360 to play other games. It was a fun 6 hours.

And also, this served a secondary purpose of showing Ichirou that the new 360s are perfectly fine to buy. It didn't overheat!

This seems pretty cool. It's different and it plays well, but I don't see it having the staying power of other games in the trippy shooter genre (yes I know it's not really a shooter, but close enough).

I <3 Revenge, but yeah, the other modes get boring imo the PSP version had much better looking, and challenging singlee player stages and bosses. This game is just really for score hounds who are willing to dump a few hours into a single player, which I dont have the patience for. But Revenge Mode is for people with short attention spans, like myself!

Revenge fucking blows, MAF. I can beat each level by just leaving my ship(?) in the middle of the level and pulling some Mario Party-esque palming the right control stick and spinning it around and around. And the bosses don't really get hard at all until you've been playing for way too long.

Online multiplayer is fairly entertaining and the timed levels are good too, although getting a high score is just a matter of timing your explosions right.

I haven't tried everything but the main mode. I will do them maybe later today. I find that in most puzzley games, only the main mode is worth playing, an the others are just half-assed, usually annoying rule tweaks.

My general assessment of the main mode is in line with Corny's, and a bit with demi's. The game is so much of the same thing over and over again, and once you adject to each level's quirks, it's so simple that I could believe one could play endlessly. It's not like a normal puzzle game with simple rules, since in those, living with the consequences of your actions ultimately is what makes the game get more difficult. Aside from picking up speed things, there is no consequence on the difficulty in this.

I dunno, maybe one of the extra modes does get it right. In the main mode, it more feels like part of a game than a full game. It's more like a bonus stage for a game than a game in and of itself.

And yea, demi. 100 levels is way too fucking much considering how tedious it is. I'm never gonna bother to try to get that achievement.
