The Evilbore Boredom thread
« on: October 09, 2006, 12:50:10 AM »
I'm bored. This is the boredom thread.

I'm watchign Dazed and Confused on local television, and its edited into suckdom. I am thinking I actually don't like this movie.  Something about it just annoys me. I remember I first saw it at an ex-gf's house.  She use to have me over to watch videos as a secret ploy to makeout or whatever. Maybe I have bad vibes for the movie.

I had Sonic for the first time in a long time this weekend. It didn't really live up to the hype.

I'm researching HDTVs I should buy. Interestingly enough, the actual research of buying a HDTV seems to be more fun than actually using the bitch.

So many dreams, so many dreams shattered. Hopefully the excitement in this purchase doesn't fizzle out quicker than my interest in my Samsung.

That's the same thing my fucking girlfriend asked me, exactly. Let's make out.

I don't really drink much soft drinks, I'm a water or booze kinda guy so I skipped the cherry limeaid, just had some burgers. They're... okay. Not really worth the fuss.

I didn't see any Carls' Jr. in Arizona and to be honest, I'd much rather have Carls' Jr. than Sonic.

Yeah, I never understood the freakout Oklahoma folks had for Sonic. It's decent, but I'd take Carl's Jr or Kidd Valley or Whattaburger over it any day.

They've been running Sonic commercials here for years without there being a Sonic around. There's finally one opening up soon, so I'll be checking it out.  I don't really care for slushies though.

Same thing here (Massachusetts). There probably scattered around this state and you have to actively look for one. The only Sonic I've ever seen (and been too) was in Florida. Didn't really leave any impression on me though (as far as how good the food was apart from the normal fast food chains)

just saw this on HD DVD...

it was so hyped that I thought it would be a uber-experience watching this... to be honest, I first thought it was some sort of romance or something because of the name, but looking at the cover I could tell it was a "comedy"

I did like the film, but honestly didn't think it was as funny as some may have hyped it to be... there were some good moments, but mostly I was fascinated and intrigued than LOL'ing at the stupid moments...

the hazing in particular I found funny, but not to the point of laughing... seemed realistic even though I didn't grow up in that peroid... generally I just really liked the characters and wished i could have learned more about them... seemed there was a complexity about them I did recognize from real life, and a different take on stereotypes than usualy comedies...

That's exactly why I wanted to try them. There isn't one for 100+ miles of where I live (San Diego) but I still see their fucking commercials! And Ruby Tuesday, too.

...but I'd take ...Whattaburger over it any day.

I saw Whattaburger too, but I didn't have the intestinal fortitude to make it over there.

(I wrote this a few days ago, but forgot to hit send. Oopsies  :-*)
