The Wii's still going to sell. If the 360 can't stop the Wii, neither the PS3. People are delusional if they think that price is going to make the PS3 more popular than the 360. Having games that are actually worth playing will help the PS3 a lot more than a price drop.

on one hand i wanted bc, but with the price dropping so fast--i don't think anyone had imagined it dropping with 200 bucks in less than a year--it makes me happy that it could drop even more by the time mgs4 comes out. i've always said that 399 + mgs4 = buy, but it could be even lower by then, or they could bundle and i'd only spend 30 bucks on the game or what have you.

All I'm saying is I'm glad I got the 60GB for like $400 due to some GameStop employee discounts, because I would be missing backward compatibility, especially after I've seen how fucking well it upscales PS1 and PS2 games.

Seriously, my purchase is justified because I get to play PS2 games in HD. It's sad, but hey, my favorite system of last gen upscaled isn't too bad of a use for the PS3. This new model basically fucked that experience over for any newcomers. And MAF's right, there is like NO FUCKING SOFTWARE for the system, so taking backward compatibility out of it is a losing idea.

I dunno the NGB bc isnt so great still, I ran up this wall fighting nunchuck guy and the screen just went to some weird to color pattern. Also, for some reason, the intro water cinematic is choppy as fuck.

Yea, it is. I'm not going to spend $130 on a dead-end like that, especially not for SD faggotry. I was willing to wait for a $300 PS3, but if there will be no more BC going forward I'm either never getting one or snatching one of the last 60GBs on clearance.
