New Nvidia Videocard will offer great performance at a low price

This new card looks so sleek because it uses the new 65nm GPUs.  It'll be faster than the 8800GTS 640mb and will cost only $300.  This card looks just perfect for a XPC.  I might even ditch my 8800 GTX and pick up two of these for SLI if Nvidia can get the drivers right.

It's not out 'till next month.  People that buy 8800 GTS/GTX this month will be pissed when they see a $300 card that performs almost at GTX levels.

Smooth: No one knows. Blizzard Tech Support just tells people to lower settings and get new drivers, but this is something that cropped up two patches ago. Add to the framerate drop suffered by most audigy users thanks to the new proprietary WoW sound setup.

I just wish the people on the tech forum would realize that prior to two patches ago we were all doing fine. I think its primarily the GeForce 8 crowd, as my 7800 was fine.

PD: Im getting dips down into the 18 fps range at blimp towers, and 20-30 fps in org/uc. Its completely stupid.

That reminds me of the shitty HL2 stuttering bug when it was released.  The stuttering would come and go with each patch.  The striders level was almost unplayable even on the 6800 ultra, which was the fastest card at the time.  Lowering settings didn't do crap either.

that's better than me. i get 1-10fps dips in stormwind for instance. intances work fine with fps from 16-22. this is with my low RAM of course, which will be remedied later this month

True true. Do you lag when players from the opposite faction are near? There's nothing worse than having the game freeze for 20 seconds, then when it starts working again whoops yer dead. Damn horde rogues
