All that points out is that none of the games in the current gen interest me enough to buy a new console (or in the case of the 360, that I don't trust it won't break down on me).  I could buy a PS3, a 360, and a Wii tomorrow if I really wanted them. :P

Honestly, the new 360 looks to be pretty damn good. The freezeups I was getting for a while there were due to Halo 3 decimating Live.

I'm buying a 360 and Blue Dragon once they fix the overheating problems...so probably in a year or a year and a half?  I'm in no rush, there's plenty of shit on the PS2, PSP, and DS for me to play in the meantime.

If you're worried about the RROD, there's that 3 year warranty. (I actually bought a 2-year replacement plan at Best Buy, so even if it doesn't RROD, I'm gonna MAKE IT at the end of 2 years to get a new system.)

But anyway, I know how you feel. I really thought between my PS2 and DS I'd be able to hold out for longer, but buying a 360 was a totally awesome decision.

I've only had it for 2 months.  :-[

my first 360 lasted 8 months before it's first RROD.

my new 360 has never even frozen and i've had it for like  3 months now

There seems to be far less RROD problems with the 360 recently although it could be just due to the cooler weather.

Honestly, I think the majority of the people here like this forum because there is no competitive sales-type discussion and people can just talk about the games and speculate about the future.

Then Ruzbeh comes and every thread is all about how "THE WII IS GONNA OWN EVERYTHING" and quoting numbers and pulling shit out of his ass to justify his views.  Never mind that the Wii, as a game machine, is underwhelming at best...he just wants Nintendo to win, like someone gambling on a horse race.
