I don't want to hear any bullshit about overheating problems. I just had my HDMI/second heatsink/quieter DVD drive-equipped 360 on for about 16 hours straight. BUY IT WITH BLUE DRAGON cigarillo

No cable...I never watch TV here, I just use it for PS2/Dreamcast/Saturn gaming.

I use my PS2 to watch DVDs.

lol, what you butthurt nerdlingers don't seem to understand is that I'm not gonna waste money in Japan to buy an HDTV I won't be able to take back home afterwards. I have a 46 inch TV back home with S-video and component cables and a pretty decent gaming setup.

Considering how bad the 360 has been selling in Japan, I'm pretty sure the available stock is of the old shitty kind that always breaks down. What happens if I take it back to the US and it dies there? How would I get it fixed? Better to just wait and pick one up when I go back home.

And nintenho, the voltage difference between Japan and the US is negligible - Japanese PS2s, Dreamcasts, Saturns, SFCs, etc. work in the US, and the reverse is true as well.

I'm going back home for the holidays, but then I'm coming back to Japan afterwards - I am thinking of picking up a 360 while I'm back home and just bringing it back with me to Japan, but I dunno if I'd even be able to get online with it, considering I'm just leeching Internet from a neighbor.

After what happened to Scenester I have decided not to buy a 360 for the next year or so until they fix all the hardware problems. Guess I'll stick with my PS2, which has a huge catalogue of awesome games I haven't played yet anyway.
