crap movie. since that is out of the way now...

the transfer is fucking incredible. everything looks gorgeous with the exception of a little grain in darker scenes. the most amazing transfer I have seen. omfg omfg omfg

Did you expect any less? Shitty or not, it made a ton of money for Paramount, so you knew it would get this kind of treatment. Couple that with all the digital work in the movie, plus the Michael Bay "style" (his movies always look pretty on DVD), and youve got yourself a fantastic, reference quality transfer.

I'm considering adding it to my netflix queue just to see the transfer quality. I sat through Aeon Flux right after I got my HD-A1 and I forced myself to watch the director's cut of Alexander once so this should be easy.

oh come on. i admitted it was terrible and it won't ever enter my player again unless i'm showing the awesomeness of the transfer to someone. it definitely will never get past the first 30 minutes in my player again.
