I bought Meet the Robinsons, Hot Fuzz, and Transformers sight unseen. I did the trade-in thing at Moviestop for MTR and Transformers, and got Hot Fuzz as one of my free HD-DVDs from that Best Buy 360 player screw-up. If any of them suck I don't really care, as I didn't really pay much of anything for any of them

While I have your attention, is Spider-man 3 worth $5.33? That's how much cash I'd have to lay out for the Blu Ray after doing the "trade-in 4 DVDs get a new release free (up to $20)" deal at Moviestop.

I really liked Knocked Up, but my vote is for Hot Fuzz.

We're watching my Blu-ray copies of 28 Days Later and The Host with some friends tomorrow night as part of our Halloween festivities.

Yeah, I skipped SM3 in the theaters even though I've been a Spider-Man fan since I was a little kid. Time to sign back up to Netflix.

Guess I'll watch Hot Fuzz after I play a few minutes of Resistance: Fall of these ground textures are awful

I'll eventually watch all of the movies on my list, but I went nuts with trade-ins and scamming free HD-DVDs off Best Buy the past week or so, so I have a nice little stack of HD flix to choose from

I hope Moviestop gets my Shining HD-DVD in before Halloween (the only drawback to the trade-in thing is that sometimes they have to special order your stuff)

If you have a Moviestop in your area and a bunch of crap DVDs you want to get rid of, it's a good deal. They'll take ANYTHING - I've been trading in crap I bought out of the Wal-Mart bin, and PVDs covered with Blockbuster/Hollywood Video stickers, and they don't care.

Hot Fuzz is an amazing movie. As is Shaun of the Dead. And Spaced is a true classic brit-com for the ages.

I never bought the first two Spiderman movies on DVD, so I'll pick up the Blu-ray box set once Deep Discount has their 20% off Fall sale.

Too bad it comes with Spiderman 3.

in sotd, he was in that zombaid video that appears on the tv somewhere at the end; and he also played one the zombies in the scene where they're saved at the end.

I saw Knocked Up this week-it was a good movie by any measurable standard but man did I hate it.

dude make sure you get it soon. GORGEOUS transfer. the colors are fucking awesome. it's the most enjoyable movie i've seen in HD so far. wowowow watch it fucked up too. omg

I wonder if I would have enjoyed it as much as I did if I saw it well after the internet obsession with it grew rather than opening day.

Like, I enjoyed it and all, but it didnt work for me on any of the levels fully. As a comedy, it didnt really work for me. As an action movie, not at all. As a spoof/satire, which was the intent, it still didnt work for me. The only thing I really loved was how crazy all the villagers were about winning the title, and Timothy Daltons over the top performance. "Stop, or the ginger nuts gets it!" was the line of the movie for me.
