I've only seen the first episode, which I thought was brilliant. Really changed my perception of anime - which I honestly thought was all bullshit, boobs, and loli crap. It's like if Seven was an anime

Yes. The manga is classic. I've seen a few eps of the anime and it improves upon the manga. Unfortunately, the manga goes to mediocrity around half way but i heard the anime doesn't.

It does get a lot less awesome after a certain point though, but it's still great overall.
