WTF
Every time some random guy offers to hold or open the door, there's a huge awkward moment. I'm like "go ahead". And he's like "no, you go ahead. no problem".
And I reluctantly go ahead, saying a meek "thanks".
But if there's two doors in a row , you'd think I'd do the same for him right? FUCK NO. I open the door, and once I pass through the door I don't give a shit who's behind me.
It's just so awkward for a guy to be holding the door for another guy. I never asked him to do it. The only situation where it's acceptable is if I'm carrying something large and heavy. I'm not gay. He's not gay. What's the point of holding the door open for other straight men?
Does he get off by showing how amazing he is by holding the door open? wtf does he get out of it? Sure, he's doing a good deed, BUT I DON'T WANT HIM TO HOLD THE DOOR OPEN. I NEVER ASKED HIM.
Now, I ALWAYS hold the door open for the ladies since that shows chivalry and stuff and can get you points with women.
