I like Robertson Davies an awful lot, but you have to be a hoi polloi literary person to really get into him.  A significant portion of his work is indebted to Canadian history, and more specifically, Canadian academic history, meaning that he, well, wrote for an extremely narrow audience.  He was a very witty and funny man, though, and I found it worthwhile to get over the hurdles.  Fifth Business is good stuff, as are the other Deptford trilogy books.

Margaret Atwood has her moments, but she kinda grates on me with her tendencies towards preachiness.  Nobody likes a preachy woman.

Fifth Business was what I was eying too.  I'll check with my teacher if I can read something else.

Because Atwood never got a good enough dicking, I had to suffer though most of Handmaids tale.  Never again.

Wow, I didn't realize Canadian literature was such a complete wasteland.

It really is.  And if I have to read though one more novel or short story about some one having to deal with the hardships of a small town or cold weather I'ma going to kill some one.

Just finished Fifth Business.  Very good.  I plan to pick up the rest of the trilogy this winter and I'll read the cunning man this week.

I really like how all sexual encounters were viewed in terms of power.

It was rather erotic  :o
