Do your folks think Halloween is Satanic or something?  They wouldn't put up Halloween decorations at my high school 'cuz it was a private Catholic school and they thought Halloween was un-Christian. :/

Yea my dad didn't like it, while my mom did; it had more to do with "safety" apparently. It's funny because that excuse was used when we lived in Detroit and in a Ypsilanti apartment, but it was still used once we moved into a six figure neighborhood lol. I went when I was real young (and still have the pics), but my brothers had never gone until 3 years ago; that was the point when my mom was like fuck it, don't waste your childhood.

Personally I'm still jaded about the whole thing and can't stand Halloween.

Jesus f'n Christ Pee Dee, chicks love Halloween.  Dress up as something funny or creative and hit up some parties- chicks dress all slutty and are drunk.  Maybe even a white guy like you could get some.

There were a few people dressed up at the party last night, but overall it was a more layed back affair. I was still pissed because my friend's mom told everyone she was cooking, then when I got there they just had rolls and ice cream

Halloween parties are good stuff. The girls are already dressed up to catch eyes, theres already a sense of flirtatious role play with the costumes and the mood is just generally better.  New years Eve gets that "WHAT HAVE I REALLY DONE THIS YEAR?" bummer mood sometimes and you might get a totally depressed chick.

Plus, for the socially inept, costumes are an easy starter topic that requires very little work on your part. Even a misanthrope like me meets girls at Halloween parties.

Halloween alternates for me between

- soul-crushing existential depression

It tends to alternate years. And "soul-crushing existential depression" is not over-exaggeration; the worst lows of my entire life have all been on or about Halloween.

I don't much like the New Years Eve vibe and often would rather stay in. I remember I saw some singles party once, it was like 20s-30s and so desperate looking that *I* felt depressed. You could see every woman there going around thinking "WHY AREN'T I MARRIED YET?" So I am much more likely to stay in and also avoid the drunk drivers. I nearly got killed by one on a St Patty's day night.

I go out St Pattys and Halloween and avoid New Years Eve like the plague. I've gone out to some Valentines parties with mixed results. One VDay party was after an art show, which followed with a fashion show my friend was in and then some just all out party with like milk jugs of booze and fire dancers/fire breathers, circus freak shit and the naked preacher lady reading some scripture and then downing a dildo with sloppy 50 year old tits hanging out.

And where is whiteacid? I bet she has halloween pics.

I never go out on St Patty's day... makes no sense when ya think about it, since I am a big fan of the Irish women. Nearly every single girl I went out with this year at least once (this is something like 15-20 girls, mind you) has been a mick. The last 3 New Years I've been spending it visiting family in FL, and there is nothing where my aunt lives, but this year I will be back here. No plans yet, I hope someone is throwing a party with more people than the same 10-15 people I see every weekend. And I hope nobody wants to go into Times Square, never been there on NYE and no way I would want to.
