I'm playing Simpsons, and some guy messages me. Sure, ok, I get these now and then. He friend requests me as well, so I peep his Gamercard, and he has a whopping 163000-ish score. Holy shit, I'm thinking. His message is along the lines of "hey i have a question about a game, chat please" - so I just ignore him.
He sends a voice request, so I'm like aghhhhh alright, let's see what he wants. He talks to me about Two Worlds, yadda yadda, how I have the max score (you can only get 930, it is glitched). He offers to send me a copy of the game, plus his memory card (his profile), and $120 to put a 930 on his card as well, because he hates the zero currently on there. My ears perk up, this is interesting. So I talk to him some more - are you sure?
Sure enough, he starts going through my list, and brings up other games that I have maxed out on, such as Astropop, Alien Hominid, and Streets of Rage 2. He offers values between $20 - $10 for these three games, and finally tacks on $60 for Fantastic Four: Silver Surfer (remember i had made a thread on this a long while back!). The eventual grand total comes to $225 for these 5 games. Not a bad deal for just doing what I do daily for free.
I asked him, why? Why not just do this legit and earn them? He tells me that he simply has no time to play these cruddy games, and instead focuses on the games he's interested in, and pays off people to play these cruddy games using his "chore money" -- he is apparently a Senior in high school, from Pennsylvania.
So I have agreed to this unknown person, and he is sending me a memory card with his profile, along with Two Worlds (cause I got rid of mine). Or, I could be getting anthrax. If this works out, I think I could get used to this. Getting paid to play games - whoda thunk?
