I'm curious to know which of these consoles you folks own, and which you've kept all these many years (so if you used to own a console but sold it off, don't select it in the poll), even if it's just lying in the back of your closet someplace gathering dust. I decided to cut off the poll prior to the NES era, and I didn't include any Japanese-only consoles.

I wanna find out how many of you packrats still have all your old machines, and how many of you have taken the next-gen plunge on all three machines.

ps1/2 and i also own a gba. thps2 (vicarious visions

) on the gba is one of the best handheld experiences ever.

I didn't include handhelds, really...that would make the list too unwieldy.

My list:

NES (the old one is really beat-up and doesn't really work anymore but I bought one of the remodeled ones that came out later on, only cost me $50...I also own a Famicom clone, but have no games for it - I won it at a UFO Catcher machine, lol)
SNES
Genesis
Sega CD
TurboGrafx-16 & CD (but both of those might be sold to Himu soon)
Sega Saturn (my all-time favorite console)
Nintendo 64 (I have like four games for it, and I bought it used for $30, lol)
Sega Dreamcast (R.I.P., you died too young my love)
PlayStation 2 (the greatest console of all time, slayer of the Dreamcast)
Gamecube (bought it used for $70, I only own Tales of Symphonia, Wind Waker, Paper Mario, Viewtiful Joe, and the Zelda compilation discs)

Haven't felt the urge to go into next-gen yet.

If you do play games on older consoles that's fine, dude. I'm not implying anyone who does is a collector who only keeps games to fill shelf space.

I usually play a game once and I'm done with it. There are a few exceptions like fighting games which I could play over and over with competitive play. But, for the most part, once I beat a game I'm usually done with it.

I'm also an anti pack rat and I cannot stand seeing my shelves and media center filled to brim to consoles and games that I'm not playing anymore.

I have owned every console you listed at one point or another except for the Jaguar. That was a complete piece of shit and I never had even the slightest urge to want to buy one. I sold my Sega CDX, 32X, and all my Genesis, Sega CD, and 32X games to a GAFfer before I moved two years ago.

I have also owned a PS1, Master System and Atari 2600, wicked stepmother destoryed the 2600 and threw away all the games. Master System and PS1 broke.

As I recall, the NEO GEO was originally not even supposed to be a home console but was intended to be rented out to hotels or something.

And I didn't want to include handhelds because...well, I just didn't wanna. That's a whole other poll!

I'm not surprised to see most people own a PS2. I AM surprised to see so many people here own a Wii.
