The main things that suck for me about being single:
-The dating "game"... I can't stand this, everything seems like it's going really smoothly, and then the girls never pick up the phone when you call them, or they make half-hearted promises to go out again, which they will only break.
-Having to spend the money for Match.com

-The majority of my friends are married or in long-term relationships, I always tend to feel like the odd man out. And of course, none of them are interested in going to "meat market" places where people hook up (not that I am effective in that type of environment)
-How it affects your confidence level... It's like, no girls want to talk to me after the initial meeting, that I lose any kind of confidence I have in myself (ohhh, is there something wrong with ME?), making it even harder to fake an aura of confidence on dates
-I'm 25 now, and I wanted to at least be married before I hit 30.
So no, I am definitely not better off being single. The only good thing about it is I can sit around all day in my boxers playing obscure RPG #23862 for 5 hours on weekends. But as much as I love obscure RPGs, it's still no substitute for a quality relationship.
