How so? It fixes many problems with GTA and even adds new features that GTA could actually use.

I hear it's not a bad game, but man Volition's capable of a good bit better than that. Every time I see this game it makes me sort of sad.

oh it isn't. gta is basically my favorite series from last gen. but compared to all the multiple gta clones out there, this one is the best. I mean, crackdown is fun and all, but it leaves a bit to be desired. Like, I don't really CARE why i'm shooting these guys i'm supposed to assassinate.

Saints Row is a total Fred Durst wanna-be wigger fantasy GTA game but it's a damn good one. It's the only GTA clone that's ever beat GTA at its own game, at least as gameplay is concerned and if GTA 4 doesn't copy a some of the mechanics from Saints Row then I'll be one fucking sad panda.

GTA kicks the living shit out of Saints Row in the humor/atmosphere department though. The radio stations/commercials/storyline/pedestrians....all awful. I remember reading on GAF about how SR was supposedly a satire of gang culture, but it didn't come across that way at all to me. It seemed retardedly serious and all attempts at humor (Freckle Bitches...ugh) fell completely flat.

Still, it's a really fun game to play.

I couldn't play it; it moves like a wet turd in molasses. One of the few games I've ever played where the frame rate just completely turned me off to the game, plus your character moves kinda weird. Mind you I played this game months after the VASTLY superior Crackdown, so that might be why.
