Now on FEARNet, both on TV and online for free:

So, I finally finished watching this tonight after watching the first half 2 weeks ago. Goddamn, I was blown away.

The movie is really great in that it's a really claustrophobic film. The characters were really struggling in the small house, and I was impressed by how real it felt.

On the other hand, some of the storyline was a bit too much of a derivation from the original. I'm not really keen on the idea of a badass Barbara, and I felt her character was made to be too much of a heroine.

All in all though, it was a really good flick. I cam away really impressed.

I don't think Barbara was just badass naturally, as in a Xena way, but that her character was in opposition to male competitiveness, which was becoming the danger inside the house.  So she took up Ben's advice to defend herself(after wandering around mutely like the chick from Ico) and when Ben became too distracted with Cooper and male competition, she just had to go it on her own.
