Author Topic: Trading in some games today, recommend me some DS titles (Read 1777 times)

I have a pretty good DS library, but my ol DS is getting, well, old. Anyway im trading in a bunch of ps3/360 games and getting a new DS in some fancy color that isnt hot pink or white. What are good DS games that I may have missed? Good PSP games?

You probably either have it or don't want it, but I've been loving Phantom Hearts. The progression has been nice so far although I'm not ALL that far into it. I'm not sure that I like the treasure hunting and the way you can damage your arm (not that it's hard) but the controls are just really fun for me. Admittedly I'm having a hard time rolling on command and doing a regular slash can be a little unresponsive, the game is designed in a way these tasks aren't all that necessary.

I cant find that game on EBGames, sure about the title? You mean Lunar Knights? Yeah I had that one for a while. Im thinking about trying the PW games again, not sure tho.

Do you have Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime? What about Age of Empires: Age of the Kings?

I have rocket slime, I heard Age of Kings had a nasty bug which is why ive avoided it

That's why I avoided it too at first, but it's such a simple bug to ignore. I got Scenester to buy the gmae and he enjoyed it too. It's only like $20 new at Gamestop now.

*FATAL GLITCH*
If your multiplayer profile name is less than 4 characters long, your game may
freeze and then not be able to turn back on, or you will loose all of your
data. This is called the Fatal Glitch. Avoid it by editing you character
profile and making your name 4 characters or more long.
Also, do not turn the DS off when it is possible the game is still writing to
the card.

Here's another bug, but it doesn't destroy your game like the last one:

Freezing while using the Save and Quit feature is extremely annoying and can be
avoided by not saving and quitting. Instead, put the game in sleep mode to
finish it later, or save the game then shut it off.
If you encounter this glitch, do not restart your DS. Instead, plug it into a

the freeze clears.

Just a heads-up. The promo for that should be automatic, but never underestimate the powers of a shady and/or incompetent employee!

They can also stack that with an extra 10% trade-in credit for ALL of your games (plus the $10 and the 10% if you got an Edge card) if you pre-order one game. You have to put it towards the entire game, but it's a cheapie portable title, then you will no doubt be able to pay it off and see that extra 10% from whatever you trade in.

Everyone I've hired for seasonal, no joke, have actually been better than most of the folks hired at my store prior to me taking it over. Honestly, we have a quota to fill in terms of people hired and I think some people just hire walk-ins without actually interviewing or anything.

Age of Empires is great! If I were you Id wait for Contra IV tho. I also recommend Touch Detective, but thats sort of a guilty game for me. I assume youve played Advance Wars DS?
