after not playing the game for 3 months, Im hooked with this thing again. training a hexer (the Sapping spell is really useful) and clearing my quests log now.

Yeah I should really get back to EO. Made it up to B27-28, man those floors are freaking punishing. Really gotta mop up the quests (except for that spend 5 days on 8BF one, fuck that)
Basically I need to train my troub up so I can boost lvl 10 relaxing, then my party can actually not run out of TP after 2 FOE encounters and I should be able to make some good progress. Have to at least finish the postgame before EO2!

My copy of Luminous Arc is still sealed

I'll open it once Im done with Touch Detective 2!

yeah I was thinking of resting my medic and troubadour. wasted a lot of points on skills I dont think I'm going to use.

there is a reason why you get access to the hexer class so late into the game, the sapping+shelter combo is really good.

Im thinking of going Protector+Dark Hunter+Medic+Troubadour+Hexer. maybe switch D for a L if I need one for a FOE or boss.

I still havent finished Etrian Oddysey, Ill get back to eventually. Still DS GOTY, yes.

error you can read japanese, yes? If so I really suggest you check out Its a Wonderful World. The combat is surprisingly fun considering it uses stylus only controls. I was wary at first but they grew on me.

I am going to jump back into this game since I just got my shiny new crimson/black DS

. After mashing my face against some frustrating games lately it'll be nice to get into some roguelikes. Between EO and Nightmare o Druaga, IM SET!

I almost picked up Pokemanz Mysterious Dungeon again lol. Izuna wasnt bad either.

I had a lot of trouble keeping Dark Hunters alive in EO tho, I lub me some Troubadours

IAWW is coming here, so I'll wait for the NA version and yeah it looks interesting.

it's tough to keep the DH alive but damn, their bind skills have really saved my ass on a lot of fights.

MAF: there is that sega roguelike coming for DS next year, February I think called Shiren.

Can you give me some tips on DH use? Im horrible with them. I guess I dont really understand bind, it always seems kinda useless.

whats actually good about a protector? It wasnt actually until late in the game that I realised I was just using him as an Landwhatever with half the hitting power

I dont see why you'd need to use protector's defense buffs as medic's Immunise lvl 10 boosted reduces damge by 95%

I spread the bind skills on 3 characters (the front row)

basically it work like this: protector (binds arms)+ Landschnect (binds head)+ DH (binds arms or legs depending)

usually at least 2 will go through, if you end up binding all 3 parts then the DH can use that move for a lot of damage and even if you cant use the move, the boss/FOE wont be able use a spell (head) or skills (arms) for awhile which gives you time to regroup/heal/revive whatever. also while you are trying to bind a part, you are still dealing damage (the bind skills are pretty powerful too) so it's not like Im wasting turns.

the boss of the 4th stratum was a total bitch without binding his head.

My protector is so awesome, TOUGH AS THEY COME.

Plus STRONG Protector with a decent backrow has saved me a few times.

I've never used the Archers, I heard they are really good, but not my style. I get a sense of satisfaction knowing that the boss cant spam his best move because I dont let him and archers dont gimme that!

I really like how the game allows for different party setups. the gunner class in EO2 looks awesome.
