I enjoy an american cartoon like Billy & Mandy for being just a fun little cartoon.  There are still fun, comedy based American animation. Venture Bros for example.  Also, Spongebob is really a good cartoon with a dinstictive style.

What I think anime fans want is serious cartoons with high tech flash, and American animation really lacks in pulling off a serious cartoon.  The last good one was Batman TAS.

Hey now, the TCG is actually pretty cool, I wouldn't go to a tournament or anything but it's fun to play, and it would be far nerdier to be seen with YGO or EoJ cards.

I find it amuzing that someone is actually trying to put a rank on battle card game thingies on to which one is actually more socially acceptable.

I think anime and the likes of card collecting battle games are the people that were playing D&D of my generation (and the one or two before me).

it jumped the shark around that point in the manga too, but i heard that it was still enjoyable after that. I guess that just goes to show u.. lol anime fans
