Distant, tell me about Stars

A friend gave me Set Yourself on Fire and I've been listening (and enjoying it) to it all day.  I had heard them before but I never really listened to any of it, given that it takes a little bit of work to really get into.

Set Yourself on Fire is very, very good. Heart is equally as good.

One of my fondest memories of Japan is wandering around downtown Jiyugaoka at 3 AM on a Saturday and hearing Ageless Beauty coming out of a basement bar. It filled me with this wonderful sense of universality.

In Our Bedroom After the War has some great songs and some kind of mediocre songs. Nightsongs is skippable.

Stars' lyrics are absolutely divine, and more bands should use male/female dual vocalists.

I thought you saw Linkin Park with the girl of your dreams *snicker*

Actually, I met the girl of my dreams at that Linkin Park concert. :/ But she's not "Linkin Park girl"! She's the Japanese cancer researcher PhD.

I think Patel just means the girl was Japanese.  He's got the yellow fever pretty bad.

Wait, is the yellow fever actually a side effect of Japanese cancer?  Did you get it by coupling with an infected meatsac, Patel?

Synbios has it and he's never even touched a human outside of his close relatives who have to wipe him and jack him off.  So it's apparently a genetic malformation.

It's true, the yellow fever is sexually transmitted.

Patel acquired his yellow fever by masturbating to the FMV of Aerith being killed by Sephiroth. That's also how he got all that hair growing on his palms. :shh

They're a great theatrical pop band. The male and female lead singers play off each other extremely well.

I'll post more later, I need to actually do some work now!

The first time I saw them back in 2003 they did an encore of This Charming Man and everything off the Comeback EP, so awesome. The Dears opened for them and did their best to melt everyone's faces, they were so incredibly loud.
