There's absolutely no point in buying the Wii at launch. I don't see anything that makes the system a must buy.Red Steel looks great, but I'm not buying the Wii just to play it. I'd much rather get a 360 with Gears of War
I'm totally gay for Nintendo games. Well, the ones that rock ass, not the bile-y poop. I want games like Waverace, 1080, Mario Kart, SSB, Metroid, Donkey Kong, etc. on the Wii, not some waggly mini-game shit.

I can play that on my PS2, and it sucks. Trauma Center? I can play that on my DS. Virtual Console? I can play those games on my N64/SNES/NES/Genesis.
Wii's line up is weak. I can get Zelda on GC (which I will do so happily), Mario Galaxy comes out in 2007, as does Sonic. Other than Trauma Center I can't really think of any games on Wii that scream "buy me!".This is funny because the amount of support Wii has is insane.
i'm not cool. playing a cereal box mascot game or whatever it is makes me even less cool, which i certainly can't afford!
I honestly would RATHER Nintendo just give me milked 1st party franchises if these are the only games they can get from third parties.
The Wii will have a steller Christmas holiday, and then lose steam until Mario/SSB come out. Just watch. Outside of Zelda, I don't see one must have game. The 360 should have a field day against the Wii and the PS3 for most of 2007
As for 360, its been a great upscaling dvdplayer/streaming video-music media center and xbox live is fantastic, but none of the games except say Dynasty Warriors Empires 5 which is on ps2 as well, has held me to the system.
Once you play N3 you'll figure out why. I can create a laundry list of solid gameplay mechanics employed by Empires to make it a superior Beat em Up experience.N3 was just a fucking letdown.

GameCube sold terribly in Japan and the wii will sell a ton of units there. With basically the same hardware, the wii will top GameCube sales.

I'd like to see the Wii fail just so Nintendo could shut up about their faux innovation. $250 for a Gamecube 1.3? I think not
