Medical Bore i.e. Smooth Groove: Armpit problem

So earlier today while in the shower, I noticed my right armpit is hella sore. After careful inspection I found a little bump near the top of the armpit; it's right in the hair. I only notice it when I touch it, at which point it feels quite sore. I paid enough attention in bio classes to know this could be a swollen lymph node. Any more sinister possibilities?

It only hurts when I touch it. It's not really painful though, just a rather sore feeling. Actually when I push down on it it feels tough, under the skin.

Is it warm?  warm=bad  Also, if it starts getting bigger, you should get it drained as soon as possible.  Or it could get disgustingly big, like a ping pong ball.  Look up abscess and armpit.

If you just leave it alone, it could become huge and really painful.  Popping it by yourself is a bad idea too because the infection can spread to nearby areas.  The best thing is to put a hot towel over it and let it drain on its own.  Otherwise, you can get a doctor to surgically drain it but that'll cost about $200.
