Quote
Anti-Chavez marchers are attacked

Gunmen opened fire on students returning from a march in Caracas, Venezuela, in which 80,000 people denounced President Hugo Chavez's attempts to expand his power. At least eight people were injured, including one by gunfire, officials said.

At least four gunmen -- their faces covered by ski masks or T-shirts -- fired handguns at the crowd. Terrified students ran through the campus as ambulances arrived.

National guard troops gathered outside Central University of Venezuela. The law bars them from entering the campus, but Luis Acuna, education minister, said they could be called in if the university requests them.

Venezuelans will consider constitutional changes expanding Chavez's power in December.

This is pretty horrible.  Hopefully the rest of the world puts pressure on Chavez in some way, they should feel some obligation considering he's sitting on a lot of oil.

My friend actually supports Hugo Chavez. His reasoning is that a true step too democracy is having a crazy dictator. He's a bleeding heart liberal that doesn't understand that authoritarian government is bad.

Take a guess.

Chavez will continue to garner support from far left college "intellectuals" and GAFfots until he does something drastic. But even then they might blame it on Bush

It`s true.  Here many people beleive Torrijos was killed by the CIA (his airplane exploded mid-air).  Many people agree with this because his succesor, Tony Noriega, used to work for the CIA at that time.

So, yeah they are probably plotting to give him the Dumbledore treatment.

he's not looking down on them because they're covert, he's looking down on them because they cause a lot of fucking problems. the CIA has its pluses and negatives, but it's hard to deny they usually have a hand in shit that blows up in our faces a few years down the road

I thought I'd be rolling in money soaked with oil and the sweet sweet blood of Iraqi children, but they barely pay more than the liberal crapfest publisher I work at now.  Disappointment total.
