It looks great and it plays well. If the full game is as good as the demo, it's probably the best ND game since the first Jak. I kinda felt the same way about Gears, though, in that it does everything really competently, but I'm not super pumped for it. I will buy it, but I'm not expecting it to top Heavenly Sword for my preferred PS3 game of the year.

Sigma? I can't say it's the best PS3 game of the year when I have already played through the majority of it twice. It's the best version of Ninja Gaiden, but still.

Anyway, Dynasty Warriors Gundam. It's good, but frustrating. Playing through a 20+ minute mission over again because you died on the last dude SUCKS.

Eh, the screen tearing in Sigma REALLY bugs me, but I can't say no to the extra content. The more consistent visuals of Black with the new content of Sigma would be best.

I can live with NGS tearing/slowdowns, but Rachel annoyed the hell out of me in the extra 50 missions $:-\$

50 missions with Ryu alone > mix of Ryu/Rachel.

The game is all about the ace fights. Feel free to boost away and shoot yer laser in their face. Also on easy/medium you can get away with shooting them in the face after most super move clashes, and you still get the attack boost

Dont be afraid to run away to other zones for crates with power ups, I did it a few times. Certain pilots are tough on certain maps, there isnt really one super tough character cept master asia..sometimes. Once you gather some good parts and skills and your gundam and pilot rank up its OMG OMG. Practice thrusting ALL THE TIME. You never wanna move slower than a thrust

How does the in mission save work in this? Is it exploitable at all, or is it really strict, ie the game deletes the save as soon as you load it so you can't repeatedly try a difficult part?

yes. in the rot3k novels he was largely invincible in one-on-one combat -- even the brotherhood of the cherry tree couldn't best him. he was such a bumfuck hillbilly, though, and so obsessed with that dynastic chinese equivalent of a trailer whore, diao chan, that he wound up getting tricked and executed by cao cao (tsao tsao) -- he may have been a monster with sword and spear and a horsemaster par excellence, but he was also as stupid and tempramental as a pit bull. lol him.
