Most of the album is pretty much Folk Metal.  Some people call it Viking Metal, but it goes beyond that.  The lead singer/guitarist of Ensiferum broke off to do Wintersun.  Ensiferum's first two albums sound exactly like Wintersun, so check those out if you like that sound.
