Homosexual Boy, compare how Zachary Quinto looks to how Leonard Nimoy looked in the original series, and you'll see a major difference. Quinto is a boy. Nimoy was an adult.

And btw, the people who played the high schoolers in 90210? They weren't actually teenagers either.

I am not talking purely actors ages. The characters ages have them shortly before the point of the tv series. The characters are adults.

As someone who doesn't give a rat's ass about Star Trek, I'll probably go see it since it seems like won't be bogged down with 37 years of continuity.

Considering the whole plot deals with time travel and at least one major character from the franchise going to the past to meet with the original Enterprise crew, I think you'd be wrong on the whole continuity-free thing.
