Final Fantasy XII: anyone feeling hyped? Cuz I'm not.

The game comes out in about 3 weeks. How's the hype going for you people?

I'm half and half on FFXII. I want it because it's Final Fantasy, and at this point it is practically a reflex to buy a new FF on day one; However, I can't muster any type of anticipation for the game at this point. I cared maybe 6 months to a year ago but right now I'm not feeling much excitement for the game.

At the same time I think that may end up being a good thing because the game could surprise me and be excellent. Being caught under the hype can damper an experience at times.

I'm looking forward to the game but right now it's not a priority. There are more than enough games out or coming out soon that interest me more than FFXII. I was actually considering skipping the release and buying Xenosaga III instead or something. But alas...tradition is a strong thing to break.

Give me Persona 3 please. Final Fantasy doesn't really mean jack squat for me these days, but I'm hoping this game will change my tune.

Im not buying it.

I want to see the story, there's something to be said for Final Fantasy production values. But then there's the gambit system..which sounds like ...well not that fun. I've heard some pretty outrageous tales regarding the battlesystem, stood in disbelief as these stories were confirmed by others.

First PSU, now FFXII. That's fine tho, FF games havent had a good soundtrack since 8 (10 sucked, face it fanboys) and well fuck...whatever im not buying it anyway.

Valkyrie Profile II is my FFXII. It has a great battle system, a cool story, fun dungeons (cept that one right before chapter 4 ) and well, it has those JAWESOME GRAPHICS.

FFX had some good music.

The track that plays during the FFXII intro/title screen is awesome.

The only good tracks on FFX were done by Hamauzu. FFIX and X proved Uematsu lost his sparkle after FFVIII's soundtrack (and rightfully so because that soundtrack is killer).
