I'm sure folks here have run into celebrities in their daily lives. I remember Willco mentioning running into Quentin Tarantino at some point. I want to hear your sexy celebrity spotting stories. Have you been walking down the street and bumped into Bob Saget? Been shopping for groceries and been sneezed on by Avril Lavigne? Do tell!

I have randomly run across a few celebrities myself, though none of my stories are interesting...

Morgan Freeman back when he was shooting the movie "Under Suspicion" in Puerto Rico. Saw him at the local shopping mall.

Anne Hathaway in New York City in 2005 just before I left to come to Japan. She was walking her dog.

Denzel Washington at the Accademia Di Belle Arti in Florence. He was with his family taking a tour and looking at Michelangelo's David.

Heath Ledger in Venice during the same trip.

Jason Biggs in Times Square, doing some sort of promotional shoot. This is back when he was starring in The Graduate on Broadway.

Michael Richards, walking down 43rd street in NYC, wearing a suit and tie and smoking a cigarette.

Scarlet Jo in Tribeca

Rick Moranis in Mcdonalds on the upper east side...and they had Flintstone the Movie toys in the Happy meal. I couldn't get over it! I was 6.

One of the Baldwins while working at Chelsea Piers. Couldn't tell you which one...maybe the Bio-dome Baldwin.

The only one in dcharlie's list that I know is Underworld and that's just because he's talked about them on the board before. I feel so out of it.

EDIT: Did a Wiki on Helen Baxendale and now I know who she is, she played Ross's unlikeable wife/ex-wife on Friends.

Off-topic: My dad is really really deaf, and when he watches TV shows he often laughs at lines of dialogue and repeats them but he has heard them wrong. When I was back visiting he was watching that episode of Entourage with Bob Saget and they were saying his name and my old man goes: 'hahahaha, taco'

One night (after Christmas, 2000) I was with my family in Manhattan and the cops were blockading a few of the roads, I asked them what was up, and they said that Bill and Hillary were driving through, to stay at a fancy hotel in Times Square... so we waited for the limo (there was a whole line of cars), tried to get a peek inside but it was too dark to see anything.

Also, I live really close to Mick Foley, and pretty much everyone in the area has ran into him (he would always come into Blockbuster with his kids to rent games while my brother worked there, for instance)... I saw him at the local Dairy Barn, was with my mom and she says "get a load of that guy", I look over, I see him wearing a bright red hawaiian shirt, driving a modern day Impala... I'm like "OMG it's Mick Foley!" Didn't say anything to him because I didn't wanna come across as a mark, since I wasn't ever too big into wrestling.

I saw Jeff Daniels and Jeremy London in a restaurant when they were in my hometown shooting scenes for the horrible Gods and Generals. I only wish I had been adequately prepared so I could've screamed Mallrats quotes into London's face while he sat there stuffing his fat head with salmon.

Nah, I ran into Quentin Tarantino at Hollywood & Highland. He was real cool. But then he got swarmed by tourists wanting his photograph and autograph, and he reluctantly obliged until some guy got greedy. The guy got an autograph, then a photograph and then was like, "Hold on, let me get my mom so she can get a picture too! Don't move!" QT was like, "Come the fuck on!"

Uh me and Scenester saw Adrien Brody jogging (topless!) and there's the story that we've already trotted out a million times before where we sat a table across from Denzel Washington in a bar and had one of his minders settle a dispute. We do live in Wellington, New Zealand though, so it's not like these sort of encounters happen that often.
