I just ended up reading a bunch about it. I remember I wanted to see it a few years back, and my interest has been resparked by, of all things, Kubrick. It was one of his favorite movies.
It is, from what I can gather, a fucked up Japanese take on Oedipus where a son kills his mom so he could get with his demi. I mean daddy.
