i think this stuff is called HI-CHEW in english.  there's a japanese grocery store around where i work and i pick these up everytime i have lunch around there.  fuck they're sooooooo good.  it's got a soft taffy consistency, similar to chewing gum, except EDIBLE.  i think i'll send my secret santa a couple packs of this stuff.

Hi-Chews are awesome. Strawberry, Grape, Lemon, and Apple Hi-Chew are produced in English packaging, too. They're .99 cents, opposed to $1.79 for Japanese ones.

I've also got Peach, Mango, Passionfruit, Grapefuit, Ume (Sour Plum), Valencia Orange, Pineapple, and Banana Hi-Chews at home in the candy jar.

In like 5th grade we'd have contests to see who could fit the most WARHEADS in their mouth at once. I always won with some insanely large number. I wish I could remember now what my record was, because it was quite impressive.

I still prefer sour candy to anything else.

Those are really good, some of my favorite sour candy... but I was always a fan of the spicier stuff... Atomic Fire Balls, Red Hots... and oh yeah, Nerds Rope kicks ass, too. I like Mamba for sweet candy.
