Great. AC doesn't have subtitles. Immediate failure. Any game that does not have subtitles pisses me the hell off. 5/10

those never ending third person cutscenes done in-engine are all so boring too, you rarely understand the muffled dialogue on top of that

Actually, MAF, all signs point to the PS3 having worse voice quality, so maybe Jotaro is on point here.

And this was one of my complaint points. I play all my games with subtitles on. It's really no big issue -- I just play games at night and live in an apartment, so I like being considerate. There are really only one or two problem voices in AC. The only part where the lack of subs was really an issue was the scene where you are snooping at the air vent.

I found that the volume of the voices was incredibly low in the 360 version of the game for most scenes where it's used, that's all I was referring to in the last post of this thread; if on PS3 it's even lower then I have a hard time believing it... does it have to do with the quality of the sound files instead for whatever reason?

I'd really, really love to keep playing it, really loved what I played of the game, it's just that Mass Effect has come out and I want to finish that game as soon as possible

I only had problems with that vent at the beginning, and I don't even think you are supposed to understand that.

Also, the more I play, the more I think this decision wasn't an oversight. I think it may have been a design decision to encourage people to play more than once, because there are other incidents similar to the vent, where you hear things in the background and are "supposed" to strain to hear them. Also, in the city streets, in gameplay, subtitles really wouldn't be possible, even though there are important audio cues.

So basically, in some situations, they don't want you to catch every word, and for general gameplay, any subtitle implementation would have to be uselessly, confusingly half-assed.

You know, even though i was saddened by this at first, i now have no problem whatsoever after playing the game, the voices are clear and sharp and there is barely any music playing in the background, so no problem even though my English is shit.

My hearing is shit and my dad is pretty much completely deaf.

Subtitles are a pretty fucking important thing to me.
