Found a site with a assload of fucken awesome Downtempo album writeups but most of the albums seem to be based in the UK or abroad (IE outside the US). iTunes seems to have a few of the listings but in their assy 192kbs AACS quality. I can't import! $30+shipping is too much!

I really want to get "Caravan of Light" but winced when I saw the good ol' [IMPORT] on Amazon.com. Whyyyyyy

I can't tell the differences between 128kps and 256kps.

Its a huge difference (to me that is).

I got some Sienheisser headphones and with lower quality encodings, certain ranges of sound are really muffled out. The range in highs and lows are diminished etc. Its opened my eyes and I've moved towards buying physical CDs and ripping them at a higher bitrate. I'll only really download off iTunes if it sports the iTunes+ better encodes.
