Judging from what I've heard about the ease of getting a job etc., it's probably down to between Germany and Spain. Which is better?

Paella is a funny dish because it can be cooked in so many different ways unlike something like Lasagna.  I've liked most interpretations that I've tried in the US, although it's possible none of them was authentic.  

There's a summer program for medical students to work in Spain for a month but I'm leery of going since I don't speak Spanish.  If I do go, I would love to watch Real Madrid or Barcelona FC live.

it depends what your credentials are. you might be able to get a job teaching english since you've done it before. it helps to know some german though, but then again there are lots of people who don't know it and have jobs here.
