Blue Dragon - Really really good game but Im having trouble finding the time to play it, only sems to be rewarding in play sessions of 2 hours +. Im onto the 2nd disc but not sure exactly how far in I am, as my game clock is reading as 17560 hours for some reason 

Warriors Orochi - Videogames dont come much better than this, really. The 1st Musou game Ive owned and Im totally loving it. VA is off the charts, high difficulty and massive amounts of levels, characters, special moves and unlockables make this one game you will NEVER GET TIRED OF. So awesome. Im gonna get the full 1000 points on this.  Gonna check DW Gundam too.

Metroid Prime 3 - Absolutely excellent, actually. My expectations were low as I didnt enjoy MP2 that much, but this is easily the best MP game. The soundtrack is amazing, just beat the 1st boss (ice guy), the tune that played during that was just so epic OMG. Waggle perfectly implemented, and shows that Wii can do bomb digitty 1st person controls

Endless Ocean. It's pretty relaxing. Presentation could do with some work, but apart from that if you're looking for something a bit different, it's worth a look.

Pro Evolution 6. I'm currently unbeaten against my flatmate (except on penalties, but penalties are for chumps). That doesn't mean we're not both shit though. I can see how you could spend years mastering this game.

The last few weeks, I really haven't been playing many games during the week, just on the weekend.  But monday I got the new PSP Sega CD emulator running with SNATCHER FUCK YEAH!!   

Last saturday I played some stuff with my buddy:

-Silent Hill Arcade: Medicore at best light gun shooter with ultra-cheesy HoTD like story and dialogue, and ultra-cheap bosses.  I doubt I'm going to play this one again.

-Arcana Heart: Fuck, I LOVE the way this game plays.  And the roster, at only 12 characters, seemed deceptively small, but with the added Arcana styles that can be chosen, you essentially get like 10 versions of every character.  Some of the designs are questionable, all the characters are high school girls, and the music pretty much blows, but DAMN this game ROCKS!!

-Dead Or Alive 4: Hadn't played this game in months. I completely owned with Lisa and Ayane.  I forgot how much I like DOA4...

-Samurai Spirits Tenkaichi Kenkakuden : Back to some SS action.  I lost by three.   :'(  Even though I kicked that ass with Iroha, Nicotine, and Wan-Fu.

-Biohazard UC: Just enjoying this one overall.  It's a decent gun shooter and an awesome Biohazard fan-service game.

Haven't played Super Mario Galaxy in like a week and a half...I'm really behind on it.  Call of Duty 4, PG4, and Orange Box are all just sitting there.  Same with Dynasty Warriors 6 at the moment.  And I just ordered FIVE more games.  I need to stop buying shit until I play what I have...

...but BASARA 2 HEROES is coming next week FUCK!!!

I just finished the last level and the "bonus" level for splinter cell: DA.  I liked the game but holy fuck, it kind of just made it really hard in the end.  especially the end where there's a shitload of guys, nearly none or no bullets, and lol at any gadgets.

I got all the retinal scans though.

time for some Warriors Orochi before bed Just played some Mean Bean Machine with my sister. I think she liked it. Seemed to enjoy Sonic & Knuckles more tho. I though it was strange how Sonic Mega Collection interested her more than my Wii library, probably a good sign, I guess.

Snatcher (Sega CD)- Via the PSP; the new Sega CD emulator is pretty much perfect.  Portable Snatcher!  ACT ONE SNATCH! 

Mass Effect (Tree Sitty)- Can't stop playing it...it's so good!  And this is coming from someone who pretty much hates RPGs.

Assassin's Creed (3-6-0)- Good stuff; love the engine and game play, but I get the feeling it's going to end up highly repetitive and fizzle out.

Otomedius (Arcade)- Konami's latest Gradius/Parodius style shooter, falling more in the Parodius vein.  Your ship is now a scantily-clad Moe girl (there is one male too), but the game play is all the same...not quite as wacky as past Parodius games, which is a bit of a let down.  All the character art and designs are by Mine Yoshizaki, who does Keroro Gunso.  I love this guy's artwork.

Contra 4 (DS)- Getting my ass kicked but thoroughly enjoying it.  On stage 2 now.

DDR Hottest Party (Wii)- Getting my dance on.  My friend is currently ranked #2, in Supernova 2 arcade, in the entire Ishikawa Prefecture, so it's easy to pass arena stages with him over.

i lied earlier in this thread. actually i rented cod4 and am playing that instead. i posted my thoughts at gaf:

having played as far as the ac-130 mission, i'm not too thrilled with the campaign. the feeling of being pulled along on some amusement ride that proceeds regardless of your actions is even stronger than it was in prior cod games. the mysterious spawning behavior of both enemies and allies makes running from checkpoint to checkpoint -- rather than actually shooting people -- the game's central action. i can sit there and pick off a bunch of enemies, but this usually doesn't feel as if it has any decisive impact. maybe this is more expressive of real squad combat than other games, but i'm not finding it very satisfying. it's a good challenge on hardened, but i miss that videogame feeling of personal significance.

its portrayal of battlefield chaos is second-to-none, however. it's just exhilarating when you're in nightvision with laser pointers and tracer fire and explosions going off all over the place, trying to find a scrap of tenable cover. and at 60 fps besides. it can almost cover up the gameplay shortcomings.

I finished Uncharted, and I have Assassin's Creed sitting here but I'm really having a hard time getting into it.  It's not clicking with me at all.

So I went out and bought Mass Effect today and I've barely scratched the surface of it but so far it's OMGOMGOMG awesome.  I've been pretty much trying to ignore all previews and reviews but I've stumbled on some comments from people complaining about various tech issues they've had with the game so I guess my hype had been tempered some before going into it.  But whatever.  This is fucking amazing so far.  If it keeps up like this, ME will be my GOTY without question (note: I do not have a Wii).

I think I have pretty much all the "GOTY" contenders.  Right now, Mass Effect is in the lead.  I can't believe how much I am enjoying myself.

MR GAY - Beat it with 65 stars today. Want to go back for all galaxies' "core three" stars. not sure if I want to aim for all 120.
Mass Effect - Started this tonight. I wasn't really following it so I'm BLOWN AWAY by the presentation, conversation system, soundtrack, costume/set design, everything. Even the combat is fine so far. I'm a huge, huge SF nerd so any game with background lore about uplifting client species is a-ok in my book.

I also have ~20-hour games of Crisis Core and Blue Dragon I should wrap up at some point.

COD4 is great, but frankly in terms of GOTY status its been kicked to the curb by THE MIGHTY MASS EFFECT.

If I move back to the U.S. next year, I am seriously considering just selling off my entire J360 collection and the machine, and starting over with a U.S. system.  That way there won't be any hassle with the repairs.

I finally got a chance to play the PS2 again last night and I beat Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner.

Edit: Where can I get component cables for the PS2? The game looked alright when I backed away far enough from my TV, but it still looks significantly worse than when I was playing on an SDTV.

since I got Undertow I havent been playing much else other than lots of Warriors Orochi. Got heaps better since I figured out exactly how the abilites work and are aquired. So Im grinding to level up the abilites so I can have an easier time of trying to obtain some 4th weapons (and for the abilities achievements lolz)
