School cancels lunch because of high oil prices

YOKOHAMA — An elementary school run by the city of Yokohama has decided not to serve lunch for two days in January due to the hike in food costs stemming from the recent upsurge in crude oil prices, the city education board said Wednesday. It is the only known case of one of its schools curtailing lunch services because of soaring oil prices, according to the board.

I don't know how it is in Japan, but in lots of places in the US lunch at school is the only meal kids have all day.

The cheapest, quickest, most accessible, and easiest food is also the most unhealthy.  That sucks for both those that are well off and the poorest.  That's why we're all fat fucks. 

Yep, that definitely sucks.

So if you're poor and need to eat crappy food, whatever--eat less of it so you're not a fat fuck. Problem solved 98% of the time!
