played the demo, took about 10 minutes to get the hang of the game but I got over the initial confusion of exactly what I was doing I was hooked, so ended up buying the full version.

Got to the end of the 1st act (out of 3), theres actually these weird cutscenes and story and stuff, its kinda forced... script and characters are ludicrous so its pretty funny.

Game is sweet, 2 stick shooter with 1st person shooter multiplayer style territorial gameplay, works really well, A pretty unique blend of genres. Graphics are pretty good for a 49MB game, some nice textures and effects (depth charges look quite nice)

But yeah everyone get this, co-op and versus will rule

yeah the cutscenes are fucked, some real bizzare VA and stuff. The campaign is a piece of piss when youre playing co-op, you can capture all the bases pretty quick and win by shut out. Next step is the ranked match achievements... been trying to rock one of those but no ones playing :'(

basically the tough achievements to get will be finish the campaign on Ultra difficulty and the 10,000 kills... although you'll probably rack up that many kills due to how many times you'll probably have to replay the levels :'(

man the Ultra achievement is gonna be tough to get.... managed to clear the 1st of 3 acts on this difficulty, it was challenging and the game only gets harder :'(

yeah the game is fucking tight, I already got the co-op achievemnt with Valis, but I'd be happy to go thru again and help you get yours. It might be a good idea to try and play through the game together on Ultra? Im kinda struggling with that single player, maybe you could play through the campaign on Normal so you can get good at the game, so then we can go hard on Ultra and score the achievment

Id imagine just jumping in to Ultra difficulty would be a bit too much

Also the ranked match achievements: since fuck all people are playing on live we need to whore these out to each other, basically the 'Arsenal' achievement requires you to get 20000 points so you can max out all 4 character classes, sohuldnt be too hard if we take turns capturing a control point over and over on match with no time limit. And the Hydropwnage achievement is a piece of piss, one of us can just sit there while the other goes and captures the whole map, easy.

Omg this game has turned me into an achievement whore :'( Such a great game though

So this is really a good game? I'm kinda gun shy about buying games based off-word-of-mouth-from-EB ever since the E4 debacle (damn you Hyp) and to be honest, the demo for Shrek n' Roll was more fun for me than Undertow - but I was kind of distracted while trying to play it.

well I personally think its fantastic, Im finding it hard to describe what makes it appealing though. Basically I was initially underwhelmed by the demo (as many have been saying on other boards) but once you get into the groove of them game and figure out strategies and wtf youre actually supposed to be doing, the game is super addicting. (took about 15 mins of full concentration to 'click') And it looks great too! Really nice explosions
