360 game pad suggestions

That's it. I need a new controller. 360's dpad SUCKS, making it IMPOSSIBLE to play games like SotN even Virtua Fighter.

People have suggested the Hori pad but I wanna know if there are other alternatives. Thank you.

You should mod the DPad Himu. People are saying its easy, I may do it myself

I beat SOTN with the analog.

as for VF5, get an arcade stick or mod the dpad like what BlueTsunami said.

why do people act like it's "modding" the D-pad?  you just take a piece of sandpaper and go at it for a few minutes.  voila, usable D-pad.  decent one too.  don't know how any of you guys live without doing this assuming you use any regular 360 controllers.

Since I play a lot of 2d fighters I broke down and bought the Mad Catz pad. While it's marginally better, it still has issues with the diagonals. From what I hear, the dpad on the Hori pad is supposed to be really good. I may eventually get that one once Samurai Shodown 2 comes out.

I fucking LOVE the Mad Catz controller. Vastly superior to the official controller in every way.

Because after not being able to pull off a simple dragonpunch motion or flash kick for the billionth time made me go a tad insane. When I went dpad shopping the Mad Catz was the only one I found that looked alright. It's better but still not precise.
